Happy Fathers Day, Daddy.
It's Fathers Day today, and to all those lucky people who still have a Father, go out and celebrate.
Daddy,
I know you're probably watching down and us today, seeing how we are coping without you... today is going to be one of the hardest day of my life. This time 7 years ago, I remember waking up very early to make you breakfast in bed, I still remember climbing on top of you and you not being a morning person pushed me off you and started our one of many tickle wars, which ended up with both of us in tears from crying. I remember that big grin when I gave you my present which I saved up from all that pocket money you gave me. Little did I know that would have been our last Fathers Day together. It hurts to think that your not here to see your baby girl grow up and it hurts even more to see that you have not seen your little man go to his first day of school, perform in his school plays and watch him play soccer. Jacky always asks about you Daddy, your favourite food, your favourtie sport, your favourite thing to do. I know mummy finds it hard to answer all his questions, that's why I made a book for him, "OUR DADDY". It has photos and memories of us and most of all it has everything about you, the good and the bad. I used to write in it almost every day after the first anniversary of your death, but as Jacky grew he started to understand more and more about you and just liked reading over the old entries. Daddy, Jacky loves you soo much.
Daddy, I know you will probably never see this, but it gives me comfort to write to you like this. I'm almost finish high school and I've decided I want to pursue a career in Law. I know when I younger I said I wanted to be a doctor, but in the last two years I really loved Legal Studies. Mummy is happy so long as I am happy, I hope your happy up there Daddy. This year I also got my first proper boyfriend Daddy, his name is Jordan Rodrigues. He's amazing Daddy, we talk about everything and most important about you. He cooks Mummy and Jacky dinner, he brings Mummy flowers and takes Jacky out to play soccer or go watch movies and eat tonnes of ice cream. Mummy loves him and I hope you love him from above cos he makes me so happy and is always there for Me, Mummy and Jacky.
Daddy, I miss you so much. These last 7 years have been tough on Mummy, but she has been so strong for us. You left us when Jacky was two and from then on Mummy took over being our father and mother. You married and loved the most amazing women in the world. Uncle has been there for us, he gave us a new home and everything we needed. He may not be you Daddy, but I know I can always turn to him for advice and his always telling Jacky and I stories about you. Thank you Daddy for the memories we had together and for always loving me and for always letting me eat sweets before dinner! :) hehehe Mummy still doesn't know. "our little secret right?"
HAPPY FATHERS DAY DADDY, I LOVE YOU FOREVER AND EVER. I MISS YOU SOO MUCH!
YOUR FAMILY DADDY!
Love, your daughter Joanna.
